These fruit butters are made by slow-cooking fruit and cane sugar until it forms a thick creamy paste. We then add real vanilla and spice to enhance these flavours.
I was very surprised to find out the Mountain Ash Berries (Rowan) in the yard are edible and delicious. They are like a cross between rosehip jam and crabapple butter and a great underused regional fruit.
Great on toast or pancakes but Divine with fine cheese.
