This is an intermediate class where we will go through the science of jam, jelly, and working with pectin. We'll go through the common pitfalls of a failed batch and talk about what makes a really great jam
We will meet at Mojo's Jojo's Nosh & Quaff (9627-82 Avenue) where Jojo will supply all of the things you need to take home 3 jars of blueberry or rhubarb jelly, depending on what's available and best.
This class is for the serious canner who wants to know more about making high-quality preserves.

This class will give you the confidence to read and follow pickling recipes on your own, setting you up for canning success in the future.
Washrooms and beverages will be provided
The kitchen is at grade level on Whyte Ave but shop doors may be narrow for a chair. Participants should be able to stand or sit at counter height for 2 hours.
Instruction will be in English and can be taught in French if requested.
