It’s no secret to those who l know me that Mojo Jojo is a total freak-fanatic of canning, pickles and Public Radio. It all came together today when NPR’s Food Podcast mentioned that the trend for 2012 is artisan, hand packed, and small batch. Yay. That’s totally how I make the pickles. There really isn’t (sigh) any short-cut. The ingredients all have to be the best, any funky tastes and smells become really strong in a pickle brine. You want it all to linger pleasantly in the mouth, after a good crunch of course. That way you can listen to the radio for hours. . .
